I (Jesus Christ) have come that they may have life, and they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.(Hebrews 9:28)

The Great I am Revealed

After these, Jesus began His early ministry and later chose His Twelve disciples and began to preach  through parables which was simple, easy to understand picture language, the message about the Kingdom of God that is to come. He taught about 39 parables on various issues and aspects of life that are related to the understanding of the Kingdom of God.The Bible tells us the following.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him (Acts 10:38)

As the above verse tells us that God was with Him and He went about healing the sick, the broken hearted, casting demons out of mankind, and performed many miracles including raising the dead.

The word I am revealed

We saw in the earlier section that God told Moses "His name is I Am ! " This is an incommunicable name and transcends comprehension. Moreover it implies that God's name cannot be expressed in its fullness and in limited human language. However the Bible records many names of God which are merely expressions of the nature and character of the true God. But it was Interestingly Jesus who came into this world and revealed the following I AM'S.

I am the bread of Life." (John 6:35)

" I am the light of the World." (John 8:12)

" I am the Gate." (John 10:9)

" I am the good shepherd." (John 10:11)

" I am the resurrection and the life." (John 11:25)

" I am the way and the truth and the Life." (John 14:6)

" I am the true wine." (John 15:1)

He also said " Before Abraham was I AM." (John 8:58).

Thus Jesus gave these figurative descriptions about Himself and was referring to his true identity.

The purpose of the coming of Son of God / Man

For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost (Mathew 18:11)

"The son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45)

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was  manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8)
