I (Jesus Christ) have come that they may have life, and they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.(Hebrews 9:28)

The Hope of Christ's Second coming can keep us going.

I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True. —Revelation 19:11

Many people in Germany were fascinated seeing through the telecast the initial moments of a jubilant German supporters in the stadium celebrating a German victory very early in a football match. At that time, many people in Brazil were completely discouraged.

Ultimately, though, Brazil celebrated the victory. Imagine How different the feelings of the Brazilian people would have been if they could have witnessed the final scene! early in the match.

When Jesus was arrested and taken for trial, His disciples were confused and afraid.Their pain increased as they saw Jesus on trial, whipped and seemingly helpless as He hung on a cross.

They did not yet see the whole picture of their Messiah’s role. Before fulfilling His role as Conqueror and King, He had to “give His life a ransom for many” and then break the power of death by resurrection. He had to be taken to heaven to be Head of the church. One day He will return in glory and power, symbolized in Revelation 19 by His riding on a white horse.

Similarly, Today we see a lot that discourages us.The evil forces often seem to be in control. But if by faith we look beyond the present and focus on the final scene in God’s plan, we can find reason to rejoice.

Let Us Praise God. With Longing hearts let Us watch and wait for that Great Day.
